Salary up to £30,000 (DOE)
 
We are delighted to be working with a luxurious hotel property who, due to substantial growth are looking to add a number of Chef de Parties’ to their current team.

As Chef de Partie, you will play a vital role in our kitchen brigade, assisting in the preparation and service of high-quality dishes. Under the guidance of the Head Chef and Sous Chef, you will contribute to the smooth running of the kitchen operation, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to health and safety standards.
 
Key Responsibilities are but not limited to:

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items according to recipes and standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, ensuring compliance with hygiene regulations.
  • Support the senior kitchen team members in food preparation during busy periods.
  • Contribute creative ideas to menu development and presentation.
  • Monitor food stock levels and assist in stock rotation to minimise waste.
  • Follow kitchen procedures for safe handling and storage of food products.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive and productive working environment.
  • Uphold high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.
  • Assist in other duties as assigned by senior kitchen staff.

Requirements for the role are:

  • Proven experience as a Commis Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Culinary qualifications or relevant training from a recognised institution is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Creativity and passion for culinary arts.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the role.
  • Valid food hygiene certificate is desirable.
