We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at a fantastic 4-Star Hotel in Ambleside, Cumbria. 
Salary £30,258 – £36,258

We are in search of a passionate Sous Chef to create high-quality dishes for our client. The hotel’s capacity of up to 600 guests is a fast-paced setting consistently delivering fantastic cuisine. 
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a dedication to personal growth and fostering the development of others. You must have effective communication abilities and a thorough grasp of diverse cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen protocols.
Role Responsibilities: 

  • Delivery high-quality dishes from breakfast through to dinner service and everything in between.
  • Assist in the management of staff training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Menu preparation, inventory management, and cost control, with a keen eye for identifying and addressing potential risks promptly.
  • Propose new menu options based on seasonal changes and guest preferences, offerings. 
  • Ensure smooth execution of meal arrangements while maintaining impeccable hygiene standards and safety protocols. 
  • Support and mentor junior staff members, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
