We are currently recruiting an experienced Head Pastry Chef for a fantastic four star hotel based in Cheltenham. 
 
Salary – £39,300 + Service charge 
Please note that this is a live in position with accommodation if available. 
 
The Role

  • Responsible for the running and overseeing the pastry section of the kitchen.
  • To produce a variety of dishes to a high standard of preparation and presentation.
  • Ensure that all guest expectations are exceeded through consistent service and product delivery.
  • Support the Head Chef in creating a team environment which promotes good morale and ensures a high level of commitment.
  • Aim to achieve and maintain high standards of food service whilst ensuring that profitability targets are hit.
  • Assist and train junior chefs. 
  • Make sure that all health, safety and hygiene regulations are adhered to. 
  • Motivating and leading the team to consistently achieve high standards of service. 
  • Manage stock – ensuring correct storage, rotation and temperatures recorded. 
  • Maintain strong relationships with other areas of the property. 

About you 

  • NVQ Level 3 
  • CIEH Level 2 
  • Minimum of two years experience in a similar position
  • Demonstrate strong food production
  • Works well in a fast paced environment
