We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Chef, an expert in culinary nutrition for a private household to cater for a family of 3 on a full-time basis. 

The Chef must be able to work around the strict dietary requirement of the family, create and craft recipes around plant based, healthy & clean cooking using the best seasonal ingredients; organic, vegan, raw to name a few. 

The family enjoys a variety of international cuisines, ranging from Japanese to Mexican, Middle Eastern, Thai, and contemporary European. Menu must be exciting with its variety, innovation and creativity and focus on light, fresh & clean flavours. Presentation is expected to be creative and appealing without being overly fussy. 

The chef will regularly travel with the family and this can be up to 6-8 weeks at a time. Favourite destinations for the family to visit include; Greece and the Mediterranean, Caribbean, US, Ski Resorts and their Super Yacht. 

The Head Chef will be also responsible for the administration of the kitchen, including health & safety, hygiene regulation, food stock management, provisioning and requisitions, department inventory and maintaining the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene back of house. The Chef will join an incredibly motivated, supportive and caring team. Integrity, a strong work ethic and team spirit will be naturally embodied in the successful candidate. 

Responsibilities

  •  Weekly menu planning in accordance with family dietary requirements 
  •  Development of a repertoire of menus featuring a broad selection of international cuisines
  •  Management of last-minute special requests 
  •  Ensure all food safety & hygiene regulations are followed 
  •  Ensure the excellent quality of the food with minimal repetition of tested favourites only 
  •  Hire and train supporting staff where needed 
  •  Maintenance of par stock levels BOH, supplier management, spending and ordering from a network of the UK/EU’s finest purveyors 
  •  Infrequent catering for small gatherings and events 
  •  Travelling internationally as required 

Qualifications

  •  Nutrition in Culinary Practice accreditation an asset, but not essential 
  •  Incredible food preparation abilities – Japanese/Asian an added benefit
  •   Michelin * experience preferred
  •   5+ Private Chef experience
  •  Creativity, innovation, & curiosity 
  •  Efficient & clear communication 
  •  Time management skills 
  •  Ability to manage a small team effectively 
  •  Budgeting skills to control costs and wastage 
  •  Deep knowledge of the food industry and current dining trends

Package 

  •  £55,000-£85,000
  •  Annual Bonus based on target goals & overall satisfaction of product
  •  Live-out position – accommodation provided when travelling 
  •  28 days paid holiday per year
